Early Life and Education
Dr. Ganesh Dutta was born and raised in West Bengal, India, where his early education laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to mathematics and statistics. He completed his Matriculation (1995) and Higher Secondary (Pure Science) (1997) from Malda Zilla School, securing a strong grounding in analytical and quantitative thinking. His academic journey advanced through Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, where he earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Statistics (2000). He continued at the University of Calcutta, completing his M.Sc. in Statistics (2002) and subsequently his Ph.D. in Statistics (2009) with a thesis titled “Optimum Designs for Covariate Models.”
